Abstract

‎The percentage of poor people in March 2022 was 20.05 percent, decreasing‎

‎0.39 percentage points against September 2021 and decreased by 0.94 percentage points‎

‎against March 2021.‎

‎ The number of poor people in March 2022 was 1,131.62 thousand people, a decrease of 14.7 ‎‎thousand people against September 2021 and a decrease of 37.7 thousand people against ‎‎March 2021.‎

‎ The percentage of the urban poor in September 2021 was 8.57 percent, ‎‎rising to 8.84 percent in March 2022. Meanwhile, the percentage ‎‎of rural poor in September 2021 was 24.42 percent, down to ‎‎23.86 percent in March 2022.‎

‎ Compared to September 2021, the number of poor people in March 2022 urban areas increased by ‎‎6.2 thousand people (from 120.58 thousand people in September 2021 to ‎‎126.80 thousand people in March 2022). Meanwhile, in the same period ‎‎the number of rural poor people fell by 20.9 thousand people (from 1,025.70 ‎‎thousand people in September 2021 to 1,004.83 thousand people in March 2022).‎

‎ The Poverty Line in March 2022 was recorded at Rp460,823,-/capita/month‎

‎with a composition of the Food Poverty Line of Rp358,224,- (77.74 percent) ‎‎and the Non-Food Poverty Line of Rp102,599,- (22.26 percent).‎

‎ As of March 2022, the average poor household in NTT Province has ‎‎5.96 household members. Thus, the average Poverty Line ‎‎per poor household is Rp2,748,274,-/‎‎poor household/month.‎
