Abstract

The number of poor people in March 2023 is 1.14 million people, an increase of 9.5 thousand people compared to March 2022.
The percentage of urban poor in March 2022 was 8.84 percent, rising to 9.12 percent in March 2023. Meanwhile, the percentage of rural poor in March 2022 was 23.86 percent, decreasing to 23.76 percent in March 2023.
Compared to March 2022, the number of urban poor in March 2023 increased by 8.8 thousand people (from 126.80 thousand people in March 2022 to 135.57 thousand people in March 2023). Meanwhile, in the same period, the number of rural poor decreased by 0.7 thousand people (from 1,004.83 thousand people in March 2022 to 1,005.55 thousand people in March 2023).
The Poverty Line in March 2023 was recorded at Rp507,203,-/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of Rp389,518,- (76.80 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of Rp117,685,- (23.20 percent).
In March 2023, the average poor household in NTT Province has 5.90 household members. Thus, the average poverty line per poor household is Rp2,992,498 / poor household / month.
