On Monday, March 2, 2025, the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Provincial Statistics Agency (BPS) released several strategic indicators for East Nusa Tenggara Province for January-February 2025. The release took place in the second-floor hall of the NTT Provincial BPS Office and online via the BPS NTT Provincial YouTube streaming account. The release was delivered live by the Head of BPS NTT Provincial, Matamira B. Kale, S.Si., M.Si., and attended by representatives from relevant agencies and the media.
Here are some key points from today's release:
1. In February 2026, East Nusa Tenggara Province experienced year-on-year (y-o-y) inflation of 3.42 percent. The highest y-o-y inflation occurred in Waingapu at 4.64 percent. 2. The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in February 2026 was 100.92, a decrease of 0.19 percent compared to January 2026.
3. The East Nusa Tenggara trade balance in January 2026 experienced a surplus of US$4.97 million.
4. The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) in star-rated hotels in January 2026 reached 27.70 percent, a decrease of 15.11 percent year-on-year.
5. The number of air flights in January 2026 decreased by 13.46 percent compared to December 2025.
6. The rice harvested area in 2025 reached 212.09 thousand hectares, an increase of 43.36 thousand hectares, or 25.70 percent compared to the rice harvested area in 2024.
7. The harvested area for shelled corn in 2025 reached 114.52 thousand hectares.
