Coordination Meeting on Preparation for the Implementation of the 2026 Economic Census

Data Friends, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the Provincial Statistics Agency (BPS) held a coordination meeting to prepare for the 2026 Economic Census.

The event, attended online by the BPS Implementation Team and the SE2026 Secretariat Team from districts/cities throughout NTT Province, was led by the Head of BPS NTT Province, Matamira Bangngu Kale.

In this meeting, Matamira emphasized the importance of preparation this year, particularly through the updating of the Statistical Business Register (SBR) conducted in each district/city. Furthermore, preparations were emphasized on communication and coordination with relevant government agencies and businesses.

It is hoped that the implementation of the Economic Census will reach even small businesses, so that they understand its importance in developing targeted economic policies. Matamira also hopes that all BPS officials in districts/cities will maintain enthusiasm and commitment, build strong synergy, and ensure that all stages of preparation proceed according to schedule and established standards.

With solid collaboration between BPS, government agencies, and the business community, the 2026 Economic Census is expected to serve as a strategic foundation for formulating economic development policies, particularly in encouraging the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises in East Nusa Tenggara.
