December 2021 Nusa Tenggara Timur experienced 0,89 percent inflation

Abstract

  • In December 2021, a combination of 3 cities in Nusa Tenggara Timur experienced inflation of 0,89 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105,76. Kupang City experienced inflation of 0,96 percent, Maumere City experienced inflation of 0,34 percent and Waingapu City experienced inflation of 0,96 percent.
  • Inflation in December 2021 in Nusa Tenggara Timur occurred due to an increase in the price index in 9 out of 11 expenditure groups. The expenditure group that experienced the largest increase in the price index was the transportation group, which rose by 3,32 percent.
  • In December 2021, out of 90 sample cities for the National CPI, 88 cities experienced inflation and 2 cities experienced deflation. The city that experienced the highest inflation was Jayapura City at 1,91 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Pekanbaru City at 0,07 percent. Meanwhile, the largest deflation occurred in Dumai City at 0,13 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in Bukittingi City at 0,04 percent.
