May 2022 Nusa Tenggara Timur experienced 0,23 percent inflation

In May 2022, a combination of 3 cities in Nusa Tenggara Timur experienced inflation of 0,23 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 109,23. Kupang City experienced inflation of 0,15 percent, Maumere City experienced inflation of 0,87 percent and Waingapu City experienced inflation of 0,28 percent.

Inflation in May 2022 in Nusa Tenggara Timur occurred due to an increase in the price index in 7 of the 11 expenditure groups. The expenditure groups that experienced the largest increase in the price index were recreation, sports and culture, which rose by 0,92 percent.

In May 2022, of the 90 cities sampled by the National CPI, 87 cities experienced inflation and 3 cities experienced deflation. The city that experienced the highest inflation was Tanjung Pandan City at 2,24 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Gunungsitoli City and Tangerang at 0,05 percent. Meanwhile, the largest deflation occurred in Kotamobagu City at 0,21 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in Merauke City at 0,02 percent.
