October 2021 Nusa Tenggara Timur experienced 0,13 percent deflation

Abstract

  • October 2021, a combination of 3 cities in Nusa Tenggara Timur experienced deflation of 0,13 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104,31. The city of Kupang experienced a deflation of 0,20 percent, the City of Maumere experienced an inflation of 0,32 percent and the City of Waingapu experienced a deflation of 0,04 percent.
  • Inflation in October 2021 in Nusa Tenggara Timur occurred due to a decrease in the price index in 4 of the 11 expenditure groups. The expenditure group that experienced the largest decline in the price index was the personal care and other services group, which fell by -0.34 percent.
  • In October 2021, 90 cities sampled by the National CPI, 68 cities experienced inflation and 22 cities experienced deflation. The city that experienced the highest inflation was Sampit City at 2,06 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Banyuwangi and Sumenep at 0,02 percent. Meanwhile, the largest deflation occurred in Kendari City at 0,70 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in Bengkulu City at 0,02 percent.
