Official Statistical News Release – August 5, 2026

Kupang, August 5, 2026 – BPS-Statistics of NTT Province once again held an Official Statistical News Release, conducted online and presented by the Head of BPS-Statistics of NTT Province, Matamira B. Kale. The following are key points from today's release:

1. The economy of NTT Province grew by 5.01% in the second quarter of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025 (year-on-year).

2. The poverty rate in March 2026 stood at 17.52%, an increase of 0.02 percentage points compared to September 2025 and a decrease of 1.08 percentage points compared to March 2025.

3. In March 2026, the expenditure inequality level among the population of NTT Province, measured by the Gini Ratio, was 0.319.

4. The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in May 2026 was 3.26%, up 0.10 percentage points compared to February 2026.
