BPS East Nusa Tenggara Province this morning released two strategic indicators of the latest conditions. Namely economic growth in the first quarter of 2023 and employment conditions in February 2023:
1. NTT's economy in the first quarter of 2023 grew by 3.73 percent compared to the same period in 2022 (y-on-y). In terms of business field, the highest economic growth was achieved by the Processing Industry field, which was 6.55 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Government Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-P) experienced the highest growth of 5.25 percent.
2. The number of labor force based on the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in February 2023 is 2.91 million people, an increase of 0.08 million people compared to February 2022. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) rose by 0.85 percentage points. The working population is 2.82 million people, an increase of 0.08 million people from February 2022. The jobs that experienced the largest increase were Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries by 0.14 million people.
