January 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in East Nusa Tenggara Province will be 2.70 percent

Abstract

In January 2024, there will be year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in East Nusa Tenggara Province of 2.70 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.17. The highest inflation occurred in South Central Timor Regency at 4.50 percent with a CPI of 108.82 and the lowest occurred in Kupang City at 1.86 percent with a CPI of 105.26.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverages and tobacco groups by 4.63 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.74 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups at 1.14 percent; health group by 1.79 percent; transportation group by 2.65 percent; education group by 0.16 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 3.30 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.31 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index, namely: equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance by 0.08 percent; information, communication, and financial services group at 0.27 percent; leisure, sports and cultural groups at 0.08 percent;
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate of East Nusa Tenggara Province in January 2024 are each 0.97 percent.
