Abstract

The October 2023 Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is based on the calculation of NTP with a base year of 2018 (2018=100). This NTP calculation covers 5 subsectors, namely rice & crop subsectors, horticulture, community plantation crops, animal husbandry and fisheries.
In October 2023, East Nusa Tenggara's NTP is 97.38 with the NTP of each subsector recorded at 97.32 for the rice-crop sub-sector (NTP-P), 99.60 for the horticulture sub-sector (NTP-H); 90.87 for the smallholder plantation crop subsector (NTP-TPR); 111.28 for livestock subsector (NTP-Pt) and 95.06 for fisheries subsector (NTP-Pi).
There was a decrease of 0.14 percent in October when compared to September's NTP. The decline in the price index was caused by the development of the receiving price index moving more slowly than the paid price. This decline occurred in almost all subsectors except the Food Crops subsector.
In rural areas, there was inflation of 1.07 percent. This inflation mainly occurred in the food, beverage and tobacco subgroups.
