August 2023 Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of 97.14, up 0.29 percent when compared to July 2023

Abstract

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for August 2023 is based on the calculation of NTP with a base year of 2018 (2018=100). This NTP calculation covers 5 subsectors, namely rice & crop subsectors, horticulture, community plantation crops, animal husbandry and fisheries.
In August 2023, East Nusa Tenggara's NTP is 97.14 with the NTP of each subsector recorded at 95.50 for the rice-crop sub-sector (NTP-P), 101.47 for the horticulture sub-sector (NTP-H); 93.41 for the smallholder plantation crop subsector (NTP-TPR); 111.51 for livestock subsector (NTP-Pt) and 96.58 for fisheries subsector (NTP-Pi).
There was an increase of 0.29 percent in August when compared to July's NTP. This increase in the price index is due to the development of the receiving price index which is faster than the paid price. This occurs in the Horticulture, People's Plantation Crops, Livestock, and Fisheries subsectors.
In rural areas, there was inflation of 0.09 percent, especially in the food, beverage and tobacco commodity groups; fixtures, equipment and routine household maintenance; transportation; and the provision of food and beverages.
