Abstract

  • The Human Development Index (HDI) in 2022 has increased compared to the previous year. The HDI of East Nusa Tenggara Province in 2022 is 65.90 or grows 0.95 percent (an increase of 0.62 points) compared to the achievements in 2021.
  • The 2022 HDI upgrade is supported by improvements across components. In the adjusted per capita expenditure component, there was an increase of 4.28 percent compared to 2021. Life Expectancy (UHH), which represents the health component, increased by 0.48 percent. Old School Expectations (HLS) and Average Length of Schooling (RLS), which represent the educational component, increased by 0.08 percent and 0.13 percent, respectively.
  • In terms of education, in 2022 children aged 7 years have the hope of enjoying education for 13.21 years or almost equivalent to the length of time to complete education up to the level of Diploma I. This figure increases by 0.01 years compared to 2021 which reaches 13.20 years. In addition, the average length of schooling of residents aged 25 years and over also increased by 0.01 years, from 7.69 years to 7.70 years in 2022.
  • In terms of health, babies born in 2022 have the hope of being able to live up to 67.47 years, 0.32 years longer than those born in the previous year.
