Abstract

Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in May 2022 is based on the calculation of NTP with the base year 2018 (2018=100). The calculation of NTP includes 5 sub-sectors, namely rice & secondary crops, horticulture, smallholder plantation crops, livestock and fisheries.
  • In May, Nusa Tenggara Timur's FTT was 94,39 with FTT for each sub-sector recorded at 91,79 for the paddy-palawija sub-sector (NTP-P), 101,94 for the horticulture sub-sector (NTP-H); 92,25 for smallholder plantation sub-sector (NTP-TPR); 108,11 for the livestock sub-sector (NTP-Pt) and 95,92 for the fisheries sub-sector (NTPPi).
  • There was a 1,02 percent decline in May when compared to April's NTP. The decline in the price index was due to a negative development in the receipt price index and an increase in prices for consumption commodities and capital goods. This is especially true in almost all sub-sectors, except livestock.
  • In rural areas, inflation occurs, especially in the food, beverage and tobacco commodity groups as well as equipment, tools and routine household maintenance
