Abstract

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for May 2023 is based on the calculation of NTP with a base year of 2018 (2018=100). This NTP calculation covers 5 subsectors, namely rice & crop subsectors, horticulture, community plantation crops, animal husbandry and fisheries.
In May 2023, East Nusa Tenggara's NTP is 96.69 with the NTP of each subsector recorded at 95.78 for the rice-crop sub-sector (NTP-P), 101.18 for the horticulture sub-sector (NTP-H); 91.39 for the smallholder plantation crop subsector (NTP-TPR); 110.58 for livestock subsector (NTP-Pt) and 96.33 for fisheries subsector (NTP-Pi).
There was an increase of 0.63 percent in May when compared to April's NTP. This increase in the price index is due to the development of the receiving price index which is faster than the paid price. This occurs in the subsector of Food Crops, Plantations, Livestock and Fisheries.
In rural areas, there was deflation of 0.45 percent, especially in the food, beverage and tobacco commodity groups.
