NTT's Economy Quarter II 2021 Grew 4,22 Percent

Abstract

The economy of Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) based on current prices in 2021 reached IDR 27,65 trillion and based on constant prices in 2010 it reached IDR 17,61 trillion.
  • NTT's economy in the second quarter of 2021 grew by 4,22 percent compared to the same period in 2020 (y-on-y). In terms of business fields, the highest economic growth was achieved by the accommodation and food and drink provision business sector of 24,86 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Consumption Expenditure Component of Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households (PK-LNPRT) experienced the highest growth of 11,79 percent.
  • NTT's economy in the second quarter of 2021 grew by 5,03 percent compared to the first quarter of 2021 (q-to-q). In terms of business fields, the highest growth was achieved by the Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security business fields of 18,23 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Government Expenditure Component (PK-P) experienced the highest growth of 69,69 percent.
  • NTT's economy in the first semester of 2021 grew by 2,18 percent (c-to-c). In terms of business fields, the highest economic growth in the first half of 2021 was achieved by the Water Supply, Waste Management, Waste and Recycling business fields of 14,21 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, PK-LNPRT experienced the highest growth of 5,07 percent.
  • The economic structure of NTT in the second quarter of 2021 was still dominated by agriculture, forestry and fisheries with a contribution of 28,91 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, household consumption expenditure was still dominated by 68,79 percent.
