First Quarter 2026 Economic Growth Report Release

Kupang, May 5, 2026 - The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province Statistics Agency (BPS) once again held an online Official Statistics News Release, delivered by the Head of BPS NTT Province, Matamira B. Kale. The following are some key points presented in this official statistics news release:

Here are some key points from today's release:

1. NTT's economy grew by 5.32 percent in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025 (year-on-year).

2. The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in February 2026 was 3.16 percent, down 0.07 percentage points compared to February 2025.

3. The Gender Inequality Index (IKG) for East Nusa Tenggara Province in 2025 was recorded at 0.402.

4. The average annual population growth rate of East Nusa Tenggara Province over the past five years was 1.60 percent, with a dependency ratio of 54.92.
