On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, the Head of the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of East Nusa Tenggara Province, Matamira B. Kale, attended a Food Security Meeting led by Baskoro Tri Prabowo, S.I.K., M.H., Deputy Chief of the NTT Regional Police, and accompanied by the Head of the NTT Regional Police Food Security Task Force, Senior Commissioner FX. Irwan Arianto, S.I.K., M.H. The meeting was held via Zoom simultaneously throughout East Nusa Tenggara, both at the Regency and City levels, as a follow-up meeting on Food Security.
Baskoro Tri Prabowo explained that all NTT Regional Police officials support the food security program and hope to achieve better results in the fourth quarter compared to the third quarter. FX. Irwan Arianto, Head of the NTT Regional Police Food Security Task Force, further stated that this simultaneous corn planting was carried out to support President Prabowo's aspirations.
Furthermore, the Head of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Statistics Agency (BPS), Matamira B. Kale, explained the corn production calculation process, obtained using the Area Sampling Framework method. This method is the result of multiplying the Harvested Area by Productivity, resulting in data on Harvested Dry Corn Cobs (JKTP) production in tons.
The Food Security Meeting is expected to optimize the results needed to achieve the established targets and support the local economic sector in the eyes of the world.
