Official News of Statistics March 1, 2024 Located at the Hall of the Second Floor of BPS East Nusa Tenggara Province, the Head of BPS NTT Province, Matamira B. Kale delivered the Official News Release of Statistics March 1, 2023. The release was also attended by Acting Assistant for Economy and Development of the NTT Provincial Government, Flouri Rita Wuisan. Here's a summary of the official news release of the statistics this afternoon:

1. In February 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in East Nusa Tenggara Province of 3.01 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.00. The highest inflation occurred in Maumere at 3.46 percent with a CPI of 106.56 and the lowest occurred in Waingapu at 2.22 percent with a CPI of 105.70

2. In February 2024, East Nusa Tenggara's NTP is 97.43. There was a decrease of 0.31 percent in February 2024 when compared to NTP January 2024

3. East Nusa Tenggara's Trade Balance in January 2024 experienced a surplus of US$ 0.08 million, primarily from the non-oil and gas sector with a surplus of US$ 77,390 and the oil and gas sector with a surplus of US$ 3,631

4. The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province in January 2024 was recorded at 33.20 percent, an increase of 18.32 percent compared to the TPK in January 2023. Compared to the previous month, the TPK in January 2024 decreased by 26.87 percent

5. The rice harvest area in 2023 will reach around 184.70 thousand hectares, an increase of 1.61 thousand hectares or 0.88 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2022 which is 183.09 thousand hectares

6. Rice production in 2023 is 766.81 thousand tons GKG, an increase of 10.76 thousand tons or 1.42 percent compared to rice production in 2022 which amounted to 756.05 thousand tons GKG
