BPS NTT Province today released the Economic Growth for the Fourth Quarter of 2023 of East Nusa Tenggara Province. The Press Release was held online through the Youtube Channel and delivered by the Head of BPS East Nusa Tenggara Province, Matamira B. Kale, S.Si., M.Si. Here are some important points:

The economy of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the basis of current prices in 2023 reached Rp128.52 trillion and on the basis of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp75, 26 trillion.

NTT's economy in 2023 will grow by 3.52 percent (c-to-c). In terms of business field, the highest economic growth was achieved by the Electricity and Gas Procurement field, which was 12.15 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Export Component
of Goods and Services experienced the highest growth of 20.09 percent.

NTT's economy in the fourth quarter of 2023 grew by 4.14 percent compared to the same period in 2022 (y-on-y). In terms of business field, the highest economic growth was achieved by the Electricity and Gas Procurement field, which was 16.39 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Export Component of Goods and Services experienced the highest growth of 50.99%.

When compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q), NTT's economy in the fourth quarter of 2023 experienced growth of 4.63 percent. In terms of business field, the highest growth occurred in the business field of Government Administration, Defense and Compulsory Social Security of 15.66 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Government Consumption Expenditure Component experienced the highest growth of 42.50 percent.

NTT's economic structure in 2023 is still dominated by the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries business fields with a contribution of 29.32%. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, it is still dominated by Household Consumption Expenditure, which is 67.48 percent.
