Technical Meeting of the Regional Inflation Control Team for the Province of NTT

Ahead of Ramadan, several commodities were observed to experience price increases, one of the most significant was the increase in rice prices. Therefore, Thursday, March 16, 2023, the Regional Government of East Nusa Tenggara Province held a meeting of the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID). The meeting, which was attended directly by representatives of the Indonesian Presidential Staff Office, was held in the Meeting Room of the Regional Secretary of NTT Province. Head of the Central Bureau of Statistics of East Nusa Tenggara Province, Matamira B. Kale was also present at the meeting. As one of the members of the Regional Inflation Control Team, BPS NTT Province also provides various inputs to local governments on efforts to control inflation in East Nusa Tenggara Province. The meeting discussed various factors that caused the increase in rice prices as well as several efforts to prevent the increase. Basically, TPID NTT Province will continue to strive to maintain market price stability, especially for primary commodities such as rice.
