BPS Deputy for Social Statistics attends the Working Visit of the Indonesian House of Representative

The Central Bureau of Statistics as a data provider institution plays an active role in national development efforts. One of them is by establishing coordination efforts with the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR). Last Monday, February 21, 2022, the Central Statistics Agency was invited by Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives to a Recess Visit Meeting in West Manggarai, Labuan Bajo. Present in the meeting room were BPS Social Deputy, Ateng Hartono, and Acting Head of BPS NTT Province, Adi H. Manafe. At the meeting, BPS discussed several important issues related to the strategic indicators of East Nusa Tenggara Province. Such as, economic growth, the impact of Covid-19, tourism, poverty and labor.

Before attending a meeting with Commission XI of the DPR RI, Ateng Hartono and Adi Manafe took the time to visit the March 2021 National Socio-Economic Survey Officer Training (SUSENAS) BPS West Manggarai Regency at the Green Prundi Hotel. On that occasion, Mr. Ateng conveyed various directions and messages regarding the March 2021 National Socio-Economic Survey. He also had a chance to talk with one of BPS Manggarai Barat's partners who has served for decades. Ateng advised that data collection must be done wholeheartedly, so that the data achieved is actual and can be the basis for effective development for the government
