East Nusa Tenggara's Trade Balance in January 2025 experienced a surplus of US$ 5.93 million

Abstract

  • Exports of East Nusa Tenggara Province in January 2025 reached US$ 6,073,220 with a volume of 9,934.16 tons. The export value in January 2025 decreased by 44.41 percent from exports in December 2024. Compared to January 2024, the export value decreased by 2.24 percent.
  • January 2025 exports of East Nusa Tenggara came from the oil and gas and non-oil and gas sectors. Oil and gas exports amounted to US$ 128,428, down 67.34 percent compared to the previous month and up 3,436.69 percent compared to January 2024. Meanwhile, non-oil and gas exports were recorded at US$ 5,944,792, down 43.55 percent compared to the previous month and down 4.25 compared to January 2024.
  • Of the 10 main commodities, the 3 commodities with the highest export value in NTT Province in January 2025 were recorded in the Fruit commodity group (08) which was US$ 745,939 (down 72.01 percent compared to the previous month), then the Furniture, Home Lighting commodity group (94) which was US$ 542,134 (down 39.41 percent compared to the previous month) and the Processed Flour commodity group (19) which was US$ 468,718 (up 14.35 percent compared to the previous month).
  • The top three destination countries for NTT's exports in January 2025 were Timor Leste (76.29 percent), Vietnam (10.48 percent), and India (4.91 percent).
  • In January 2025, NTT's exports sent through ports in NTT were US$ 4,590,113 or 75.58 percent of NTT's total exports. Meanwhile, US$ 1,483,107 or 24.42 percent of NTT's total exports were sent through loading ports outside NTT province.
  • The import value of East Nusa Tenggara Province in January 2025 reached US$ 0.14 million with a volume of 396.40 tons. This import value fell by 99.52 percent from imports in December 2024. Compared to January 2024, the import value fell by 96.88 percent.
  • In January 2025, East Nusa Tenggara's imports came entirely from the non-oil and gas sector.
  • In January 2025, the largest increase in NTT imports compared to December 2024 occurred in the Oilseeds commodity group (12) which increased by 86.36962101 percent compared to the previous month.
  • In January 2025, all imports from NTT Province came from Timor Leste with a value of US$ 138,339, down 41.07 percent compared to the previous month, and up 44.39 percent compared to the same month in the previous year.
  • The East Nusa Tenggara Trade Balance in January 2025 experienced a surplus of US$ 5.93 million. The non-oil and gas sector had a surplus of US$ 5.81 million and the oil and gas sector had a surplus of US$ 0.13 million.
