The economy of East Nusa Tenggara in the second quarter of 2022 grew by 3.01 percent

Abstract

The economy of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) based on current prices in the second quarter of 2022 reached Rp 29.49 trillion and based on constant 2010 prices reached Rp 18.16 trillion.
  • NTT's economy in the second quarter of 2022 grew by 3.01 percent compared to the same period in the previous year (y-on-y). In terms of business fields, the highest economic growth was achieved by the accommodation and food and drink provision business sector of 23.36 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Export Component experienced the highest growth of 51.73 percent.
  • When compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q), the economy of NTT in the second quarter of 2022 grew by 6.22 percent. In terms of business fields, the highest growth occurred in the Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security business fields of 14.61 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Government Consumption Expenditure Component experienced the highest growth of 44.94 percent.
  • NTT's economy in the first semester of 2022 grew by 2.45 percent (c-to-c). In terms of business fields, the highest economic growth was achieved by the Provision of Accommodation and Food and Drink at 24.57 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Export Component experienced the highest growth of 41.99 percent
  • The economic structure of NTT in the second quarter of 2022 was still dominated by agriculture, forestry and fisheries with a contribution of 30.32 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the household consumption expenditure component is still dominated by 70.66 percent.
