Abstract

  • In March 2022, the level of inequality in the expenditure of the population of NTT Province as measured by the Gini Ratio was 0.334. This figure decreased by 0.005 points when compared to the September 2021 Gini Ratio of 0.339, but did not change when compared to the March 2021 Gini Ratio of 0.346.
  • The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2022 was recorded at 0.324; compared to the September 2021 Gini Ratio which was 0.322, but decreased if compared to the March 2021 Gini Ratio of 0.327.
  • Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2022 was recorded at 0.304; down compared to the September 2021 Gini Ratio of 0.306 and the March 2021 Gini Ratio of 0.311.
  • Based on the World Bank inequality measure, the distribution of spending on the bottom 40 percent group is 20.56 percent. This means
  • population expenditure in March 2022 is in the category of low inequality level. If broken down by region, in urban areas the figure was recorded at 21.29 percent, which means that it belongs to the category of low inequality. Meanwhile, for rural areas, the figure was recorded at 22.16 percent, which also means that it belongs to the category of low inequality.
