Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in May 2020 was 95.23

• Farmer Exchange Rate (FTT) in May 2020 is based on the calculation of FTT with the base year 2018 (2018 = 100). This FTT includes 5 subsectors, namely the paddy & secondary crops, horticulture, smallholder estate crops, livestock and fisheries.

• In May, the East Nusa Tenggara NTP was 95.23 with the NTP of each subsector recorded at 95.42 for the rice-palawija subsector (NTP-P); 101.94 for the horticulture subsector (NTP-H); 90.27 for the smallholder estate crops (NTP-TPR) subsector; 102.29 for the agriculture subsector (NTP-Pt) and 93.69 for the fisheries subsector (NTP-Pi).

• There was a decrease of 0.38 percent in May NTP if compared to April NTP. This decrease was caused by a decrease in the price index both received and paid by farmers. It can be concluded that the price of both production and consumption commodities has decreased.

• Deflation of 0.07 percent in rural areas was affected by falling prices for food, beverages and tobacco.
